Hi Sharon,

Sorry for the delayed reply to your last email. Work has been very hectic. I am excited
to say that I have FINALLY made my decision. I’m sticking with the Giovanni. I love it!
It’s exactly what I was looking for.  Not only does it sound beautiful, it looks beautiful
too. Thank you so much for sending it to me and putting forth so much effort in trying
to find a violin that suited my needs. The last violin I tried out was a Snow violin. It
sounded very pretty, but when playing it next to the Giovanni there was no comparison.

 Thank you so much!

Hello Sharon,

I've received my violin today! Already my teacher put it through his inspection. He was very impressed with the quality and construction of the violin, not to mention the setup and the
sound. He was equally happy with the bow also! He said this violin will serve me well. I appreciate your help and attention to fine detail you provided me with in my purchase!

Thank You,

Mathew

Ms. Sharon,

Hello! My parents purchased a Giovanni Stefano for me about four years ago. I still absolutely love it! Everyone who sees it comments on how great it looks and sounds. I play in church
and in weddings a good bit, so I decided to install a pickup (LR Baggs) instead of always
having to stand close to a mic. (I just had that done this week.) The guy that I took it to said
he had violins there that needed to be worked on, but he installed the pickup right then and didn't charge me anything because he said it was such an honor to work on my violin! I am a sophomore in college at Mississippi State now majoring in Broadcast Meteorology. However,
next week I will be starting lessons with the string professor here, and I am going to be
playing in the orchestra. I can hardly wait for the compliments I know I am going to get.
Thanks again for such a great instrument!!

Thank you again,
William; Pontotoc, Mississippi

Hi Sharon,

Thanks again for your help with the purchase of our 4th violin.  We have been so pleased with all of
your help and patience with our questions.  Brittney was thrilled with her new violin, and it sounds wonderful.  The quality of your violins are great.  I’ve listened to too many scratchy violins at recitals
to ever want to buy  a cheap violin or rent one.  It takes a lot of trust to buy a violin from someone
you have never met that lives hundreds of miles away, but your professionalism and attention to quality
has earned our trust 4 times over.  We will be back.

Thanks again,

Dusty

Hi Sharon

Just wanted to forward this e-mail from Evans' teacher and tell you thanks again for
all the help!!

I hope Evan will enjoy his violin for many years. I didn't see any business cards in the box. Maybe you could send a few to me when you have some time.

If my daughter decides she wants to play, I wouldn't want to buy another violin from anyone but you.

Sincerely,

Kimberly

Evan's violin came in the mail today!  I am leaving the house now to bring it to the school.
Please make sure he has it for your class today.  I know he will be very excited. I hope I made a wise
choice. Let me know what you think of the violin.

YES,
He was excited! Absolutely beautiful violin! I was impressed. If everyone bought
instruments like that to start, my job would be a whole lot easier!

Hi Sharon!

My husband and I just wanted to say thank you again for your help in
purchasing our third Gabriel violin.  Kaylee is thrilled with it.  We get
many comments on how good her little violin sounds.  People can't believe
that she can play without the scratchy violin sound you often hear with
little children.  We attribute much of that to the high quality of violin
you sell.  We also appreciate how helpful you are with our sometimes many
questions.  It has been a pleasure doing business with you.
Thanks again,
Dusty

Sharon,
Feel free to post the following testimonial on your website.

We're extremely happy with our purchase!

Dear Web Shoppers,

When shopping for a stringed instrument online, I advise you to tread carefully.  Go with a retailer that will treat you like you walked into their store and physically purchased the instrument yourself.  It is this level of personal attention that convinced me to purchase the Gabriel outfit from Sharon Dee Strings (SDS) for my daughter.  During my search, I phoned several retailers and distributors of the major brands in my price range: Eastman Strings, Snow Violins, Knilling, etc.  Most eventually returned my calls, but only SDS returned my call on the same day and actually wanted to know my needs. Sharon personally guided me on the selection of the strings to the bows.  Sharon even followed-up to make sure that there was no damage from the shipping.  So the service was first class.  The instrument is fabulous!  The violin has a nice crisp sound which I assume is due to fact that it’s constructed from Eastern European wood – a rarity in this price range.  Due to the service and the high quality product, we received a beautiful instrument that was customized to the needs of my daughter.  I intend to purchase my next instrument from Sharon Dee Strings.

Dear Sharon:

I am happy to tell you that I have never played such a wonderful violin in this price range. I am very happy with my Salvatore Nicotera, and will use it in my studio as well as when I play with my community orchestra. My students love it too, so you will probably be hearing from some of them soon.

Thank you again for all of your time, and for helping me to decide on the right violin in my price range.

Dear Mrs. Dee,

I received the Giovanni Stefano today, and I cannot tell you how pleased I am with the beauty of it, and more importantly, the beautiful tone that is already coming from it. It is already sounding better than my 50 year old Roth violin that has been my favorite for over ten years. I can't wait to see what it sounds like in a few years. Thank you for all of the time you spent with me, and for all of your very helpful information, you know your violins.

Thank you again,

Dear Sharon:

Just a note to tell you how please Evan is with his 1/2 size cello. It is beautiful and his teacher is thrilled with it. She cannot believe what we paid for a carved cello this beautiful, and with sound this good. Thank you again for all of your advice and good service.

Thank you and we will come back for the next size,
June

Dear Mrs. Dee:

We received the Casey violin outfit and it was in great shape. The teacher said that for a 1/2 size violin, it has great projection, she is very pleased with it. The German bow that we ordered for it is great! The best one we have tried out, and the others were even more expensive, so thank you again so much.

Hi Sharon

Sorry it has been so hectic with this hurricane and school and all. yes, thank you. We did receive it this week on Monday and he inspected it and he loved it. Now the only thing he needs is real lessons from an instructor. Do you by chance sell any DVD or instructional videos on accordions, I forgot to ask. Anyways, I do appreciate all the effort that was made to order this. Thanks a lot.

Hello, my name is Scott (witheld) and I have a few question regarding a violin that I received from my grandfather in his will. The violin is really not in good shape and the family knows very little of its history other than it has been in the family since my grandfather immigrated from Russia. The broken story is that the violin is one of the only items that came with my grandfather in the early 1920's as he traveled by boat to Canada. I was just wondering if you know how to identify the instrument and what steps I should begin to take, if any, to have the violin restored. Thank you very much for your time and I have found your web site very informative. Note: The only marking that I can see on the violin is on the bridge that are stamped Aubert.

Sincerely,
Scott

I asked Scott to send photos of the violin. It is hard to give advice about these instruments without seeing them, however, sometimes a photo helps. It is always better if you can take the instrument to an appraiser in your area, or send the instrument to me for appraisal and or restoration.

Hello Sharon,

Yes, I did receive the violin today and it sounded wonderful once tuned! It emulates a very rich and deep tone. Might I add the beauty of the flamed wood! Sweet!! Thank you for all your help and concern. Patrick loves it and was told by his teacher today that among all her students from multiple schools, he is the finest and fastest learner that she has heard!

Sincerely,
Bela

The above was a response from a customer who purchased a Giuseppe Nicotera for his young son.

Hi Sharon,
I showed the violin to my teacher yesterday, she really loved the tone, the resonance and also the high quality tuning pegs. She was excited I bought the Giuseppe. While I was playing during my lesson she gave positive comments on the tone I was getting.

One thing I noticed is how lighter this violin compared to my German fiddle, my teacher noticed that too right away. the Giuseppe compares very favorably with my 200 year old Ruggieri copy. The Giuseppe almost has the same tone as my "Ruggieri" even though the former is brand new.

We just purchased the Gabriel for our 4 year old daughter. She rented a violin for three months. We are very pleased with our new violin. Kaylee likes it better than the rental because the strings are easier to pluck and the tone is better. Her teacher is also very pleased with it. She said she could tell it was made from quality wood, and also commented on the fact that the strings seem to be easier to pluck. Her only concern was that she (the teacher) had difficulty tuning the violin. We have added some fine tuners which have helped. Thanks so much.

Dear Sharon,
Our violin teacher has taken a look at the violins and she said that they sound especially nice and that the bow is good quality. I have had a chance to play them a little too and am very happy with them. They are also beautiful to look at! I am really pleased that we found you and it has been a pleasure to do business with you. Thank you so much.

Best wishes

Hi Sharon:

I got it!!!! Absolutely beautiful!! And the case, was worth the wait! Thank you so very much Sharon, I do not regret waiting at all. Everything is perfect, even the sound. I tear up a little when I look at it, because of what I had ordered before, that was definitely crap! I am so glad I trusted in you, and I don't think I could ever part with my Victorio, we are going to bond for life. lol!

take care,
Donna

The customer above waited several weeks for her violin due to a back ordered case, and bad weather, but as you can see, she found her outfit with the Victorio Nicotera violin to be well worth the wait.

Sharon,

Thanks again for spending the time with me this afternoon. I played my new violin tonight and I just love it. It sounds so even and true across all strings, and I can just concentrate on playing and improving my technique rather than thinking about whether my violin is set up right!

I did a search on Google for my Salvatore Nicotera and was interested to find someone had posted a nice recommendation on violinist.com. I couldn’t resist adding my own compliments in a response to the thread:

It came in today!!!!!!!!! I love the sound. It does not have the tinny sound like my old violin did.

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!
Chris

The above email came from Chris in Fairbanks AK, who ordered the 4/4 size Casey outfit. She is an adult who wanted to get back into playing violin again. As we advertise, all violins receive the same professional set-up, whether it be a beginner instrument or professional...this is what helps our already superior instruments sound even better.

I could not pass the opportunity to comment on my beautiful violin (the Victorio). The sound is unbelievable. When playing, the sound vibrates so much tone you would think it is going to jump out of your hands. I have played other violins and even bought them. My search and buying is over. If I ever buy another violin, it would be from your company.

I also have to thank you for answering so many questions I have had without hesitation. I am very pleased with you and your professionalism that you have a customer forever.

We just received our 1/2 size violin for our daughter Brittney.  We are very
pleased with it.  It looks and sounds nicer than violins that we have
rented.  She is very excited and can't wait to get started playing with it.
Sharon has been so helpful to us, and we will be back to buy more violins
for our two girls.  Thank you so much.
